Product Overview
In wood pellet production, raw material moisture content is critical to final pellet quality and energy efficiency. Our Single Drum Dryer is specifically designed for biomass pellet lines to efficiently remove excess moisture from materials such as wood chips, sawdust, shavings, bark, and other biomass feedstocks. It ensures that the material entering the pelletizing process reaches the optimal moisture range (approximately 10%–18%). The dryer features a compact structure, high thermal efficiency, and stable operation, making it an ideal choice for medium to large wood pellet manufacturers.
Working Principle
The material is fed into the rotating drum through the inlet. Inside the drum, specially designed lifting plates lift and disperse the material into an even curtain. The material then comes into full contact with hot air from a hot air furnace or biomass burner, achieving rapid heat exchange. Moisture evaporates and is removed through the exhaust system. The dried material is discharged at the outlet and proceeds to the next process stage.
